If you came into the office this past Thursday, you may have noticed us running around wearing the silly red noses. NO this isn’t the latest fashion trend, and while it may seem a bit silly we promise its for a good cause.
May 25th is also known as Red Nose Day. Red Nose Day is all about having fun while raising money and awareness to help kids in need. The money raised during Red Nose Day “supports projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered. Red Nose Day funds programs in all 50 states and in some of the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia and Africa.”
We encourage anyone and everyone to donate to this wonderful project. Even if its just $1! And I know you are probably thinking to yourself “What would $1 even do?” Here’s what $1 can do:
$1 can provide ELEVEN meals for hungry children through Feeding America food banks. – Source: Feeding America

When we think of tape and its purpose one of the main things we think about is how it holds things together and keeps them from falling apart. Similar to regular household tape kinesiology tape is engineered to help provide support and stability to muscles and joints while facilitating the body’s natural healing process, without restricting the body’s range of motion. Not only does kinesiology tape provide the support you need, but also helps rehabilitate the affected area.
According to KINESIO® kinesiology tape also has the ability to do the following:
re-educate the neuromuscular system
reduce pain and inflammation
promote good circulation and healing
assist in returning the body to homeostasis
accelerate blood flow
increase oxygen available to the muscles, which reduces fatigue
promotes lymph drainage to remove toxins
The combination of these effects are very powerful and allows athletes to play and train harder for longer periods of time. Here at Wise Chiropractic we offer and highly recommend kinesiology tape to any patient young or old. Ask us about it at your next visit!
